What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Technician II position at State of South Carolina?
Provides skilled planned and corrective cross-functional maintenance and repair services including carpentry,HVAC, electrical, and plumbing for designated facilities on the Columbia campus of the University of South Carolina. Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Driver’s license required. Requires knowledge of building Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems and the ability to work within established resources. The ability to communicate in writing and orally to management. The ability to maintain accurate records relating to time, material and services provided. The ability to operate computer systems and strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work.
