What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Professor- Clinical Health Sciences position at State of South Carolina?
The Clinical Adjunct Instructor serves as an extension of the classroom, focusing on delivering hands-on skills in the clinical setting while reinforcing the science and theory behind each procedure. This role involves direct instruction and supervision of Nuclear Medicine Technology students, evaluation of clinical competencies, and providing feedback to both the student and the Clinical Coordinator. The adjunct professor will collaborate closely with program faculty to ensure students are progressing appropriately and to address any areas of deficiency in a timely and professional manner.
This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology
Current certification by both the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Nuclear Medicine (ARRT [N])
Active licensure/credentialing as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (as required by state and institution)
Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate, full-time experience as a practicing Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical instruction and effective communication with students and faculty
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
Three (3) or more years of professional experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology
Prior teaching, precepting, or mentoring experience in a clinical or academic setting
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, evaluate, and encourage student learning
Familiarity with JRCNMT standards, ARRT and NMTCB competency requirements, and clinical education best practices
