Job Responsibilities
Teaching Performance: Conducts classroom, clinical, and/or laboratory instruction (100% course load) using systematically planned and delivered instruction for courses.
Instructional Development and Management: Reviews, evaluates, and revises course objectives, instructional materials and course syllabus on continuing basis. Designs new courses as needed for the program. Maintains records of student academic progress and attendance; evaluates level of achievement and assigns grades for courses.
Student Advisement: Serves as academic advisor to students and participates in student recruitment and development.
Professional Development: Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching competence and to stay current in teaching field.
College and/or Community Service: Serves on college committees and participates in the college's marketing effort
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master's Degree in Nursing
Hold an unencumbered active license as a registered nurse in South Carolina or another Compact State.
Have a minimum of two years as a registered or advanced practice nurse in the clinical areas responsible for instructing.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience.
Additional Comments
Faculty may be asked to teach traditional, hybrid, or distance delivery. Class schedules will vary from semester to semester. Classes may meet in evenings and weekends. Faculty may be asked to work at an off-campus site.
This a full-time temporary grant position.
