Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, receptionist and administrative duties perform independently. Uses knowledge of operation and general office procedures to make independent decisions concerning processing of information and litigant relations.
- Answering, screening and forwarding incoming calls in a professional manner
- Operating a multi-line switchboard
- Greeting litigants and visitors in a professional manner
- Assisting with courtroom set-up
- Receiving, sorting and distributing daily mail and walk-in filings, including credit card payments
- Maintaining a professional appearance and organization of the reception area and copy room
- Providing litigants with basic information from the website regarding forms and Rules of Procedure
- Performing light administrative tasks including filing, scanning and copying
- Providing administrative support to Clerk’s office staff
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Clerk
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and five years of clerical experience; or an associate degree with two years of clerical experience.

- Experience in State Government, legal or court environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and computer skills
