We are seeking a Human Services Program Administrator 2 to join our team at Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility. This position will oversee assigned program services such as reentry, recreation, youth employment, and religious services.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Plan, evaluate, and direct assigned program services (e.g., reentry, recreation, religious services, graduate vocational, youth employment, community service, intercession); develop and implement program policies and procedures; ensure meaningful programming is developed and implemented
Schedule and coordinate reentry events; collaborate with Central Office Reentry to plan and develop reentry services; oversee ordering of new and replacement Youthful Offender Release Identification Cards (YORIC) and social security cards
Ensure compliance with federal guidelines, American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, and DYS policy
Coordinate and facilitate Buckeye United Industry Learning Development (BUILD) program
Supervise staff including volunteers and contractors; serve as facilitator of site committees; act as liaison with facility departments regarding program services; serve as contact for community-based organizations and/or individuals; connect youth with community and/or faith-based organizations and/or individuals for volunteer programming within facility

Or completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science, medicine-related field or public or business administration or accounting; and 12 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider or review of such services for cost containment/budget planning; and 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques. Note: Training in business or public administration or accounting & exp. in review of services for cost containment/budgeting only pertain to medical cost containment program administrator positions.

PRE-SERVICE TRAINING:
All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services are required to attend 3 weeks of mandatory, paid training at the Correctional Training Academy in Orient, Ohio. Training Academy hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Travel, meals, and lodging are provided.
