We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Administrative Professional 2 within the Office of Coastal Management, headquartered at Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve in Erie County. The address is 2514 Cleveland Rd East, Huron, OH 44839.

What you will do…

  • This Administrative Professional position acts as the office coordinator for the Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve. Responsibilities include budgetary, procurement, payroll, and grant management.
  • Perform routine administrative duties (e.g., draft & may sign simple correspondence, set up office procedures, coordinate daily workflow of office, revise content of manuals & procedures)
  • Provide technical information & advice to administrators to aid in decision making regarding office logistics & facility management
  • Oversee grant timelines & requirements
  • Perform fiscal duties related to bill payment, purchase supplies & equipment, meet with vendors to solicit quotes, & maintain fiscal records
  • Perform public relations duties by researching & responding to public inquiries
  • Starting hourly pay of $22.96/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $27.92/hr.
  • There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to Pay Rate and Longevity Tables | Department of Administrative Services.

Qualifications
18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.

  • Or completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.

  • Or 6 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.

  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
