The SUNY Geneseo Facilities Department is looking for a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cleaner. SUNY Geneseo encourages a positive workforce where employees take pride in their work and thrive in a team-based environment.
You’ll perform a variety of routine manual tasks in cleaning and caring for an assigned area. Typical tasks assigned to this position include:
Cleaning, dusting, and polishing assigned areas, including furniture, metal fixtures, and equipment
Maintaining floors, corridors, stairs, and stairwells by washing, stripping, waxing floors, and vacuuming and shampooing carpets
Cleaning and scrubbing walls, partitions, and windows from the inside or outside of buildings and all areas of lavatories and locker rooms, including cleaning blood spills and bodily fluids
Moving furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning activities, meeting set up, or special events
SHIFTS:
2nd: Sunday – Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
3rd: Monday – Friday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience requirements for this class. Cleaners must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

Salary : $34,312 - $42,565
