Why does the job exist?
The Senior Recruiter will:
Assist Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) customers who have long term barriers prohibiting them from meeting TANF work program requirements;
Meet with TANF participants on a regular basis while ensuring that the basic needs of the entire family are met;
Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to parents, identifying specific needs for each household member and matching the family to resources to mitigate barriers enabling them to achieve their short-term and long-term education and career goals.
How does it get done?
The Senior Recruiter is responsible for:
Providing comprehensive case management to participants;
Assessing each individual to identifying barriers and matching individuals to resources to mitigate such barriers, determining skills and ability, and providing individualized coaching to participants to help move them toward achieving their personal and career goals;
Monitoring and evaluating a participant's progress and following up as prescribed in each individual's plan;
Working in collaboration with other agencies to assist participants with accomplishing assigned goals or tasks;
Making recommendations for modifications to a participant Individual Responsibility Plan and/or Work Participation Agreement in accordance with Health Care Authority (HCA) policies, TANF Work Verification Plan and customer conversations;
Ensuring data entry is completed timely and accurately for all TANF participants into the ASPEN and WorkPath systems;
Working with individuals who struggle with mental or physical limitations, substance abuse, or domestic violence.

Minimum Qualification
Associate degree in Social Services, Education, Government, Human Resources, or Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in customer service, administrative support, business administration, human resources, recruitment, placement, selection, compensation, benefits administration, labor relations, occupational analysis, processing personnel transactions, or eligibility determination in a public and/or social welfare program. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Defensive driving certification.
Working Conditions
Office setting. Sitting for long periods of time viewing computer monitor. Repetitive hand movement. Standing, walking, lifting up to 20 lbs. Use of computer, copier and telephone.
