The Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist / Compensation and Classification Analyst will:
Oversee analytical compensation and classification activities by providing guidance, consultation, and information on assessments and transactions;
Develop and recommend fair and equitable pay practices, ensuring compliance with evolving policies, laws, and regulations;
Collect and analyze classification information to prepare job descriptions and recommend position changes or re-classifications for the Health Care Authority (HCA);
Maintain consistent application of classification standards across all HCA positions;
Manage and preserve the organizational structure of the agency, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational needs.
How does it get done?
The Senior HR Generalist / Compensation and Classification Analyst will:
Provide guidance and support to HCA management and employees regarding compensation and classification actions;
Prepare, process, and track compensation and classification activities, including promotional increases, in pay band adjustments, recruitment differentials/ Multiple Components of Pay (MCOP), double fills, salary actions for transfers or reductions, and position creations and re-classifications;
Review, analyze, and update job descriptions, organizational charts, department codes, locations, reporting structures, FLSA status, union codes, supervisory levels, working titles, and job duty changes for all HCA positions.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any field and one (1) year of experience in human resource operations; recruitment, selection, payroll, compensation and benefits administration, labor relations, investigations, HR-related training experience, and/or occupational analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Must possess or obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
