The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Practitioner Supervisor II to join the team at Lincoln Regional Center.
In this impactful leadership role, you will provide administrative and clinical supervision to licensed behavioral health professionals while also delivering direct therapeutic services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring quality patient care, supporting interdisciplinary treatment planning, and leading a team dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals receiving behavioral health services.

Under administrative direction, positions at this level are utilized in two ways: 1) administratively supervises a minimum of 3 FTE professional level staff individually licensed in two fields of counseling/treatment (Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Counseling) and possess full licensure in both mental health and alcohol and drug counseling or; 2) is licensed as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner and administratively supervises a minimum of 3 FTE professional level staff possessing the Independent Mental Health Practitioner licensure. Teammates in this class also perform professional level counseling and/or treatment services in the field for which he/she holds licensure and provide clinical supervision to a provisionally licensed person in the same field[s].
Minimum Qualifications: Licenses as Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska and Drug and Alcohol Counselor.
Legal Requirements: Licensure requirements for all levels pursuant to Nebraska State Statutes 38-2122, 38-2124, and 38-316.
Other: To be hired as a Behavioral Health Practitioner Supervisor II, the successful candidate will be required to to have licensure as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP).
Pay: Starting rate $37.789, Minimum permanent rate after successful completion of probationary period $39.679

- Provide administrative supervision for licensed behavioral health professionals and oversee unit operations
- Deliver direct professional counseling and treatment services within your licensed field of practice
- Provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed teammates
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate program operations to ensure treatment goals and service standards are achieved
- Develop performance standards, evaluate staff performance, and provide coaching and professional development
- Lead and support interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Review treatment plans and ensure quality case management practices
- Serve as a liaison with internal and external service providers to ensure continuity of care
- Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic guidance in complex behavioral health situations
- Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and operational planning
