Examples of Work
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in criminal justice, accounting, or gaming related field and one year of appropriate work experience in the field of compliance in a gaming facility, security, or surveillance at a technical level; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other: This position requires regular in-state travel. As such, the incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide independent authorized transportation and drive a state vehicle as necessary. Regular and reliable attendance is required. **NRGC employees are prohibited from gambling or placing a wager in any establishment licensed by the Commission.**

Examples of Work
- Conducts ongoing reviews of interactive gaming and sports wagering systems, activities, and games to ensure compliance with NRGC regulations.
- Identifies and reports all violations, assists individuals entering the Self-Exclusion Program, and monitors adherence to ensure Self-Excluded individuals do not access restricted areas such as gaming floors or sports wagering spaces.
- Accesses on-site surveillance and back-of-house reporting systems to verify reported activities including self-reported violations and best practices.
- Evaluates requests from operators regarding potential wagers, events, new leagues, and similar matters.
- Drafts comprehensive reports with recommendations for approval or denial.
- Monitors wagering systems to ensure registered players are authorized to participate in sports wagering.
- Serves as a liaison by building strong relationships with casino management, casino staff, NRGC employees, registered vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the Gaming Compliance Director to coordinate activities.
- Provides backup support for Compliance Representative I duties, such as monitoring the gaming floor, testing slot machines, and other compliance activities.
- Embraces additional responsibilities as needed to support the Commission’s evolving needs.

- Attention to fine details; ability to identify inconsistencies and anomalies and ensure accuracy in reports and documentation.
- Ability to analyze data to determine the following:

- “Why did it happen?
- “What might happen?”
- “What should we do about it?”
- Clear and concise communication abilities to articulate ideas, outcomes, and collaborate with team members.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, ability develop effective solutions to varied issues; enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Proficient in using computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
