The Regulatory Auditor is a first-level professional position responsible for performing routine duties within the Facility Application Services (FAS) Unit within Missouri’s Division of Cannabis Regulation. This position reports directly to the FAS Unit Manager and will act as the front line of the FAS team, ensuring requirements of the law are fully realized.
This position requires a high level of confidentiality and the ability to work with considerable independence, performing a wide range of duties to support the program. This position will excercise adapatability, discernment and significant independence while also collaborating across the Section. These functions are integral to the unit and maintain standard efficiencies in cannabis application processing services within the state of Missouri. This is an exciting opportunity to implement an important initiative from the ground-up in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do- Process facility applications to ensure rule requirements in 19 CSR 100-1 are met.
- Process fingerprint background checks for owners and agents in accordance with CSR, Article XIV, MSHP and FBI standards.
- Maintain regular call center duties to communicate with applicants and the public about the program.
- Consistently and accurately follow set standards while looking for areas of needed development and process improvement.
- Work in a collaborative team environment as the division continues to develop.
- Actively participate in process development, testing and implementation as needed.
- Cross-train to support Individual Licensing Unit (ILU) through application processing and call center duties as needed.
- Bachelors degree, and 0-1 years relevent experience. (Substitutions may be allowed).
- Working knowledge of rules and law; ability to accurately convey department interpretations to facility applicants and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage changes while maintaining accuracy and achieving results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependability and accountability demonstrated through consistent attendance and performance.
- Proactive, detailed and independent nature to best assist with performing the wide range of duties needed to support the unit manager, unit lead and program.
