Salary: $1,646.99 - $1,679.93 semi-monthly
Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and will be located at 1101 Riverside, Jefferson City, Mo 65101.

What you’ll do:
- Creates, prints and performs finishing work for various types of park signage including informational and directional signs as well as interpretive panels and displays.
- Design and produce plastic and aluminum signs.
- Design and produce banners.
- Design and produce name tags, desk name plates, etc. using an engraving machine and computer software.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or other tools and equipment.
- Creates, modifies and maintains files of maps, signs, informative panels, posters and other design projects as necessary.
- Develops graphic artwork, layouts, and designs utilizing computer-assisted technology and a variety of media, equipment, and specialized graphic hardware and software.
- Prepares four-color printed documents and publications.
- Make specialty items such as plaques for retirement and service awards.
- Prepares and maintains files of projects and artwork for archives.
- Research software problems.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Commercial Art, Graphic Art, Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, or a closely related field and 0-2 years of graphic design experience. (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, color.
- Knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite - including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- Attention to detail.
- Deadline-oriented.
- Ability to manage several projects with various deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate and get along with others.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended time periods.
