Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our DCT Safety Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Security Services Office & Administrative Specialist Senior. This position provides comprehensive, senior-level administrative support to the AMRTC Security Manager and other Security Services Supervisors at the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center. The incumbent manages daily operations of the Security Services office, including coordinating communications, schedules, workflow processes, and programming support, as well as triaging incoming phone calls.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination, completion, and maintenance of AMRTC Security Services audits, reports, and information on MHSATS SharePoint Sites.
  • Serve as a resource for MHSATS policies, procedures, and work area expectations to ensure they are clearly communicated, regularly reviewed, and consistently implemented.
  • Assist with the interview and hiring process for Security Services staff.
  • Attend meetings, record minutes, and follows up with written correspondence.

AMRTC is an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.

Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year of clerical experience sufficient to provide administrative, technical, and clerical support. This experience must include:

  • Knowledge of customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.
  • Word processing skills sufficient to prepare, edit, and finalize emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors.
  • Skill in word processing, sufficient to use software, such as Microsoft Word, to type and format letters, memos, reports, and minutes of meetings, etc.
  • Skill in using spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to enter, compile, store, and retrieve data
  • Ability to perform administrative support work for a work unit’s expense and budget administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience working with security services policies, procedures, and operational protocols within a hospital or treatment center environment.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and ability to maintain strict control over sensitive information.
