The 2026 racing season is May 23, 2026, to September 19, 2026. Canterbury Park will conduct live racing on select Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There will be no live racing on Friday, July 4, 2025. There are 55 days of live racing scheduled.
The Minnesota Racing Commission’s (MRC) is looking for an organized and dedicated individual to support the MRC licensing process. The primary duties are meeting with licensee applicants, processing and issuing licenses, supporting the functions of MRC’s Board of Stewards, and maintaining the proper records as outlined by MRC’s retention schedule. In addition, this position will be supporting the MRC with administrative, purchasing, and invoice processing functions.
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week with weekend and holiday shifts required.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- Skills in proving prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.
- Knowledge of preparing, editing, and finalizing emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors.
- Knowledge of typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy.
- Skill in data entry is sufficient to read source documents and enter data in specific databases or tracking systems.
- Communicate in a variety of formats to gather and relay information with tact and diplomacy.
- Explain policies and procedures in a clear, concise, and professional manner to both internal and external customers.
- Calculate, review and reconcile financial data and balance accounts.
- 2 years’ experience in data entry, cash handling, and/or customer service.
- Experience with using MRC’s licensing system.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) ability.
- Experience working within the horse racing regulatory industry.
