This position requires an employee to be onsite at 3200 Labore Rd, Ste 104, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our DCT Financial Management Office for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a DCT Revenue Cycle Systems Specialist – Management Analyst 3! As a DCT Revenue Cycle Systems Specialist, you will manage the backend setup, technical configurations, and system rule changes within the Electronic Practice Management (EPM) system to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely processing of claims. You will play a key role in coordinating the technical aspects of the revenue cycle, including the management of billing systems, clearinghouses, and payer interfaces, and will work closely with the technical team to implement system updates, resolve issues, and maintain system integrity to support the revenue cycle process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and management of the Avatar patient accounting system to ensure it’s processing claims and payments appropriately and with the standard set by DCT.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure system changes don’t disrupt revenue cycle workflows, troubleshooting technical issues, and address bugs in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the EPM system setup and the overall revenue cycle functionality to ensure smooth integration across platforms and address any billing related issues that arise.

Minimum Qualifications

To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Two (2) years of healthcare revenue cycle management experience, preferably with Avatar or similar EPM systems that demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with healthcare billing systems, payer requirements, claims processing, and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience with technical troubleshooting, system configurations, and integration of third-party software such as clearinghouses and payer systems.
  • Experience working with technical staff and vendors to resolve complex system issues.
  • Experience with system testing methodologies and documentation of system configuration.

Note: Bachelor’s degree in information system, healthcare administration, finance, or related may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with system upgrades, implementation, and troubleshooting in the context of healthcare claims processing.
  • Familiarity with HIPPA regulations and other compliance standards in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of additional EPM systems or related healthcare technology platforms.
