Duties

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams and risk assessments for patients across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and patient education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, social workers, and case managers—to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as IntakeQ for accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Skills

• Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for efficient medical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles for safe medication management.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, mental status exams, and physiological evaluations.
• Familiarity with behavioral health protocols, crisis intervention techniques, and acute care procedures.
• Skilled in working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those in assisted living or hospice settings.
• Experience with telehealth platforms to deliver remote psychiatric services effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare laws such as HIPAA and Workers' Compensation Law to ensure compliance while maintaining patient confidentiality. Pay: $100,654.27 - $150,766.42 per year
