Sterile Technician – Contract
Location: Royal Oak, MI
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: Evening Shift
Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Shift Length: 8 hours
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and patient-care equipment.
- Reassemble, inspect, and wrap surgical instrumentation and instrument trays.
- Assemble case carts and prepare sterile instruments and supplies for scheduled surgical procedures.
- Perform sterilization using steam and STERRAD sterilization processes.
- Conduct biological and diagnostic testing of sterilization equipment.
- Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are prepared and available on time for scheduled procedures.
- Distribute sterile supplies and equipment to hospital departments and nursing units.
- Monitor inventory and maintain adequate stock of instruments and supplies.
- Follow regulatory agency standards, infection prevention practices, and hospital policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sterile processing environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant Sterile Processing/Sterile Technician experience required.
- CRCST certification through HSPA or CSPDT certification through CBSPD required.
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, decontamination, sterilization, and sterile processing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work every other weekend.
Pay: From $1,300.00 per week
