Job Description
THIS IS A NON-CAREER APPOINTMENT THAT IS LIMITED TO 129 HOURS PER MONTH AND 1,039 HOURS PER APPOINTMENT
This position greets customers, collects tolls; assists drivers across the bridge; checks truck traffic to ensure compliance with bridge rules and regulations; assists in taking surveys, helps law enforcement agencies in locating sought vehicles, delivers emergency messages, and assists in distributing customer comment cards as necessary. This position also acts as secondary operator of Security Operations Center as deemed necessary by supervision depending upon current security level. As a 24/7 operation, the position requires working various schedules which will include weekends and holidays as needed. This position requires possession of a valid driver's license to perform miscellaneous bridge escort services as requested and assist in driving motorists across the bridge.
The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the State Worker position.

To be considered for this position you must:
All newly hired state employees are required to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and physical (if applicable) prior to their actual appointment. Criminal and driving records will also be checked if applicable. Any position offer will be conditional until results of the drug test, physical, criminal background, and driving records indicate eligibility for employment.
