MDH Spring Grove Hospital Center

The main purpose of this position is to prepare and paint the interior and exterior surfaces to the Hospital and Tenant occupied buildings at the advanced level of trades work under general supervision of the Maintenance Chief lII or IV. This position does not supervise but may lead semi-skilled employees. This is an 'Emergency Essential' position required to have and maintain a valid Maryland Driver's License and able to drive State Vehicles in accordance with State of Maryland Policies and Procedures for Drivers of State Vehicles

Education: Completion of the Eighth grade.

Experience: Four years of experience in painting work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute additional painting experience on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute a certificate or a diploma from an accredited vocational school or technical high school with a concentration in painting for up to three years of the required painting experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Painters, Construction and Maintenance classifications or Painters, Construction and Maintenance specialty codes in the Painting field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
