About This Position
The Trades Apprentice is a valuable part of the Sulphur Housing Authority because of their function of work assisting the maintenance repairman in vacant unit turnover, performing a wide variety of unit maintenance and repair tasks with assistance. The Trades Apprentice provides an opportunity to learn the skills required for the Maintenance Repairer 1 position. This is an entry-level position.
Minimum Qualifications
No experience or training is required.

Assist Maintenance Repairers 1 Or 2 In The Following:
Appointment Type: Probational
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday Off. On-call status every other weekend for emergency work orders.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Benefits are offered.

- Clean out units, including hauling furniture, and wipe all counters and cabinets
- Scrub appliances & fixtures, repair/replace if needed
- Repair sheetrock where damaged
- Repair/Install doors, windows & floor tiles where needed
- Install light fixtures & outlets if needed
- Painting units
