The Louisiana Office of Tourism's vision is to market and promote the brand of Feed Your Soul, showcasing Louisiana as a travel destination, increasing revenue generated by the tourism industry, and contributing to the economic impact of tourism in all 64 parishes. The Office of Tourism partners with tourism professionals and industry stakeholders in private and public sectors to extend and enhance their efforts to reach domestic and international consumers and travel trade.
We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and detail-oriented Senior Multimedia Producer & Digital Asset Specialist to spearhead our agency's visual storytelling, asset collection, and data preservation efforts. This advanced position splits its focus between field execution and strategic media management. In this role, you will lead high-end agency photography, produce engaging video content tailored for social media platforms, and architect the agency's centralized digital asset management (DAM) system. The ideal candidate pairs a sharp artistic eye with the organizational mindset of a digital archivist.

An advanced degree in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or English plus one year of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, content creation, social media management, or graphic design.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus two years of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, content creation, social media management, or graphic design; OR
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, content creation, social media management, or graphic design; OR
An advanced degree in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or English plus one year of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, content creation, social media management, or graphic design.

Job Duties:- Execute high-profile photo assignments documenting agency initiatives, emergency responses, executive leadership, and
statewide public programs. - Master advanced lighting, composition, and technical styling across a variety of challenging environments, including
conferences, tourism events, festivals, and other photography situations. - Perform expert post-production editing, color correction, and retouching using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite or other to
meet strict publication standards. - Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit short-form and long-form video content optimized for specific platforms (including
lnstagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube). - Translate complex agency policies and programs into accessible, visually compelling, and engaging public-facing video
narratives. - Integrate motion graphics, subtitles, audio mixing, and on-screen text to ensure all videos are highly engaging and fully
accessible (ADA compliant). - Lead and work with the creative and digital agencies in the production of still and digital images for the Louisiana Office of
Tourism visual library. - Design, implement, and maintain the agency's centralized digital library, establishing strict folder hierarchies and
standardization protocols. - Enforce robust metadata frameworks, ensuring every image and video file is properly tagged, keyworded, geolocated, and
labeled with copyri ght/release documentation. - Streamline the retrieval process for internal staff, media outlets, and public records requests, ensuring historical agency
assets are securely archived and easily searchable. - Other Duties assigned as needed.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a job appointment. In the event that funds become available for a permanent position, the employee may be converted to a probationary appointment.
Work Schedule: M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or overtime. Travel may be required.
