We’re looking for a Public Information Officer to join our Public Affairs Division!

Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
Create, edit, and publish original, on-brand content including captions, photos, graphics, and videos across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, Linkedln, and emerging channels.
Develop and manage a comprehensive content calendar to ensure consistent posting around key initiatives, events, and cultural moments.
Design visually appealing graphics using Canva or similar tools to support campaigns, announcements, and event promotions.
Prepare monthly and campaign-specific reports summarizing key insights and recommendations for improvement.
Capture behind-the-scenes moments and create post-event recaps to extend visibility and impact.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Job Appointment, Detail to Special Duty or WAE
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Public Information Officer 1, 2, or 3.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.This posting may be used to fill vacancies in other divisions available within the Louisiana Department of Revenue within 90 days of the closing date.
A Tax and Natural Disaster Clearance will be conducted on all selected applicants to validate the timely submission of tax returns and payments. It is a requirement that all Revenue employees must adhere to all tax laws of the State of Louisiana.
LA R.S.15:587.5, 587.6 and the IRS require the Louisiana Department of Revenue to conduct a criminal history records check of a prospective employee who will access federal tax information to perform job duties. Any applicant who receives and accepts a conditional offer of employment will require a completed criminal history records check prior to his or her first day of work.
