About This Job
The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs.
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to serve as a Maintenance Repairer, assisting with the daily operations of the Area Maintenance Department on the Pinecrest Supports and Services grounds.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Pass Days: Saturday and Sunday
Salary:
Maintenance Repairer 1: $17.18 hourly - $30.92 hourly
Maintenance Repairer 2: $19.67 hourly - $35.40 hourly
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Maintenance Repairer 1 or 2 depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Job Appointment, Lateral Transfer or Detail to Special Duty. Preferences may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.

Job Duties:
Job Duties and Other Information
- Plumbing: Repair and install commodes, lavatories, water fountains, and garbage disposals. Unstop sewer lines and drains, repair leaks, and repair/replace faucets.
- Electrical: Repair light bulbs. Repair/replace ballasts, receptacles, switches and fans. Replace motors, pumps, etc.
- Appliance Repair: Repair washing machines, dryers, ice machines and refrigerators.
- Carpentry: Repair doors, door closers, hinges, cabinet doors, knobs, baseboards, cabinets, furniture, door stops, windows, etc.
- Refrigeration: Perform preventative maintenance and maintenance to a/c units and air handlers. Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers and motors, chill water valves, controls, belts and filters.
- Keep check on hot water temperatures and maintain log.
- Run and service generators and maintain log. Inspects fire extinguishers monthly and maintains a log.
