About This Job
The Mission of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) is to improve the operations of the criminal justice and juvenile justice system and promote public safety by providing progressive leadership and coordination within the criminal justice community.
We are looking for a Contracts/Grants Reviewer to ensure the financial integrity of our state and federal subgrant programs. You will serve as the primary fiscal oversight for law enforcement projects, managing everything from initial application reviews to final reconciliations. The ideal candidate balances analytical skills with strong communication.

Three years of experience in contracts or grants management, procurement, financial management, or accounting; OR

Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

- Conduct detailed fiscal reviews of federal and state subgrant records from application to closeout, ensuring all budgeted costs align with statutory guidelines and proper classifications.
- Analyze and approve reimbursement requests by performing comprehensive reconciliations of budgets, previous expenditures, and matching fund requirements to verify accuracy and fund availability.
- Evaluate and approve subgrant modification requests to ensure costs remain reasonable, allowable, and correctly allocated to the project scope.
- Provide ongoing financial guidance to law enforcement planning districts and subgrantee agencies to resolve discrepancies, address delinquencies, and ensure adherence to grant special conditions.
- Research and prepare essential data for quarterly and annual federal/state grant reports, maintaining precise spreadsheets and tracking systems to monitor project health.
- Contribute to the development of Egrants system enhancements and internal procedures; assist with statewide training and help desk support to improve grant management efficiency.
- Proactively maintain expertise in federal funding regulations by completing specialized training, such as the Office of Justice Programs’ Financial Management courses, to stay current on compliance standards.
