What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Education Part-time Instructor (Westside Campus) position at State of Louisiana?
Supervisor: Director of Adult Education
Physical Demands: Lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment: Frequent interaction with staff, students, and the public; Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and bending
Starting Pay: $25 per hour; 7 hours per week
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 4:30 pm to 8 pm, or as needed outside this schedule for special events, meetings, or to meet student needs
•
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution
•
Two years of full-time teaching experience
•
Satisfactory background check
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution with a concentration in Education
•
Two years of teaching experience with adult learners over the age of 18

Oversee all aspects of Orientation, i.e., oral presentation, TABE administration, etc.
•
Organizing student records for accuracy and completeness
•
Submit weekly attendance and score reports to the Assistant Director
•
Monitor minor student attendance to ensure minimum attendance is completed
•
Assist current and potential students upon visiting or calling the campus
•
Serve on Adult Education and RPCC committees as requested by the Director or RPCC Leadership
•
Maintain accurate student records and data, i.e., forms, attendance, etc.
•
Attends staff development programs, curriculum development meetings, and other professional activities
•
Utilize and provide direct instruction through innovative, effective, and equitable teaching techniques
•
Participates in developing, revising, and monitoring the implementation of the curriculum
