About This Position:
The incumbent must be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and exercise strong judgment and initiative in non-routine situations. The role requires extensive knowledge of DOTD procurement and accounting policies in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities include accurately documenting accounting activities, participating in required training and continuing education, and adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and DOTD policies and procedures.
While in official capacity, DOTD employees must comply with applicable Louisiana and Civil Services laws, rules and regulations, as well as DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

- Processes and enters vendor invoices daily, ensuring accurate coding, proper documentation, and compliance with budget allocations and district policies by auditing expenditures and reconciling invoices with purchase orders and goods receipts.
- Manages payment processing using ECC and SRM systems, monitors inventory postings, resolves discrepancies with staff, and prepares finalized documentation for submission to Financial Services.
- Ensures accurate timekeeping and payroll processing by verifying hours, coding, and leave data; generates reports, corrects errors through adjustments, and maintains compliance with records retention policies.
- Conducts district-wide payroll audits, resolves discrepancies, tracks and reports errors, coordinates approvals, and serves as a liaison with vendors and internal/external stakeholders.
