Position Summary & Responsibilities: Field Representative
The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) are currently recruiting for our high performing team in Wichita as a Field Representative for the Audit and Investigation Department.
Responsibilities include:
Thrilling Investigations: Dive deep into the world of employment compliance as you conduct investigations into employer status, successorships, and classification of employees. Uncover potential SUTA dumping activities and make critical determinations that shape the employment landscape.
Impactful Work: Your efforts play a crucial role in establishing correct employer account status under the Kansas Employment Security Law. By completing thorough investigations and reports, you contribute to maintaining fairness and integrity in the workforce.
Engaging Responsibilities: Beyond investigations, you'll assist employers in navigating complex paperwork, resolving discrepancies in wage reports, and clarifying disputed claims. This multifaceted role keeps you constantly engaged and challenged.

Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience and/or knowledge in Kansas UI laws, investigative techniques, and accounting practices.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related study or 4 years experience working with government programs. Note: A bachelor's degree is not required for this position. Candidates may qualify through a combination of relevant work experience.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Problem solving, analytical thinking, verbal and written communication, customer service, and fact gathering techniques.
