Compensation:
- Annual Salary: $43,950.40
- Hourly Pay: $21.13*
- The base pay Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (FMS) classification starts at $21.13/hr but is eligible for an additional 10% for resident supervision and a $.30 per hour retention incentive, bringing the hourly starting rate to approximately $23.54 per hour.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of the physical plant and grounds of the El Dorado Correctional Facility.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise, instruct, and direct residents assigned to work in the maintenance department
- Provide training and monitor residents in day-to-day operations
- Ensure proper safety training
- Maintain records of time, supplies and equipment order, and records of job orders
- Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule
- Determine needs and plan for maintenance or repair projects
- Perform work to ensure assigned tasks are completed
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
Licensing & Certification
- Valid Driver's License
Minimum Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience in the mechanical or building trades. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paid employment experience in general maintenance
- Skilled in the use of operation of tools, caustics and flammables, machines and equipment commonly used in plumbing at the skilled craft level
- Knowledge of the standard practices in building trades fields
- Knowledge of safety measures and occupational hazards
- Ability to read, interpret and work from sketches, blueprints, and specifications
- Ability to plan, organize, assign, and approve or otherwise supervise the work of skilled and semi-skilled craft workers
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements
