Compensation: $46,092.80 annually. Salary may be dependent upon the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

This is a specialized unit which analyzes the organizational structures, administrative policies, and management systems of DCF regional offices in relation to implementation of EES programs, such as Food Assistance, TANF, and Child Care and Employment Services. This position is charged with ensuring the state continues to have a consistent, systematic method of monitoring and assessing program operations in the project areas; providing a basis for project areas to improve and strengthen program operations by identifying and correcting deficiencies; and providing a continuing flow of information between the project areas, the States, and FNS, necessary to develop the solutions to problems in program policy and procedures. Telework may be possible for qualified candidates, following training and approvals.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: *If a driver’s license is required, a copy must be uploaded with your application.*

  • Three years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data. Education may be substituted for experience as determined by the agency.
  • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license throughout employment

Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of EES experience is preferred in determining and/or evaluation of a public assistance program; TANF, Food Assistance, Child Care, Employment Services; knowledge of program policies and regulations. One year experience with the Kansas Eligibility and Enforcement System (KEES), Microsoft Word, and Excel software including the ability to create forms, tables, and spreadsheets.

Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements:

Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF. Must maintain security clearance throughout employment.

Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate: A valid Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate is a condition of employment for all employees of the State of Kansas. Applicants (including non-residents) who receive a formal job offer for a State job, are required to obtain a valid Tax Clearance within ten (10) days of the job offer. A Tax Clearance can be obtained through the Kansas Department of Revenue who reviews individual accounts for compliance with Kansas Tax Law.
