Lanier Technical College – (www.laniertech.edu) is gearing up for increased student enrollment for Summer Semester (May 18th, 2026) and Fall Semester (August 10th, 2026). POSITION: ADJUNCT ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY INSTRUCTOR - Different Campus Locations Available
REPORTS TO: General Education Program Chair
SALARY: Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours
TARGET START DATES: SPRING SEMESTER – May 18, 2026; FALL SEMESTER - August 10, 2026
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adjunct faculty responsibilities are centered on preparing and teaching classes as assigned:
- Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus. Ensures that desired course outcomes meet the stated objectives;
- Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught;
- Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives;
- Administers and grades class examinations;
- Maintains records of student grades;
- Meets ALL required deadlines;
- Attends in-service training, workshops and seminars, as needed;
- Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training and laboratory areas;
- Meets with students, staff members, supervisors as needed.
This position is available at all Lanier Tech campus locations; day and evening classes available.
NOTE: Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment that are appointed on a per-academic-term basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master's degree in Biology or medical field with appropriate subject-related coursework from a regionally accredited college or university; OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in appropriate subject-related coursework from a regionally accredited college or university, OR a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Knowledge of vocational area of assignment
Skill in presenting subject matter
Skill in administering tests to evaluate progress
Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of student information systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies):
Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level;
Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology courses;
Experience with online teaching platforms
Bilingual (Spanish/English language skills) is a plus
