Position: Biology/Anatomy & Physiology Instructor
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety
Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean

Responsibilities: The course focuses on the normal structure and function of the human body and provides an overview of each body system, how the systems coordinate activities to maintain a balanced state, and how these systems recognize deviations from the normal.
Specific topics include general plan and function of the human body, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, nervous and sensory systems, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, and reproductive system. Laboratory exercises support lecture concepts.
The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for this course.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Anatomy & Physiology *OR* a Master’s/Doctorate in a related field of study with at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in Anatomy & Physiology from an accredited university *OR* an advanced degree such as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.), and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
- Doctorate degree.
- Two (2) years prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
- Experience with BlackBoard learning management system and online instruction.
