- Preparing and managing correspondence using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Receiving, verifying, processing, and maintaining attendance and leave-related documents and records.
- Offering expert guidance on Workers’ Compensation matters, including assisting with biweekly timesheets for the Payroll or Benefits sections and Local Human Resource Representatives.
- Serving as a liaison for the Office of Human Resources, maintaining communication with entities such as People First, the Department of Management Services, the Division of Risk Management, the State Comptroller, the workers’ compensation carrier, and other relevant organizations.
- Reviewing and processing FMLA requests, including evaluating documentation for eligibility and providing consultative support to Department employees.
- Knowledge of the State of Florida’s People First system.
- Knowledge of computer programs used by the Department (i.e., People First, FLAIR, ATMS2, CDC, Impromptu, etc.).
- Knowledge of the basic principles of Florida Statute 440.
- Knowledge of the basic principles of FMLA
- Knowledge of the basic principles of rule 60L-34 Attendance and Leave
- Skills in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Skills in communicating with others to convey information effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
- Ability to compose correspondence.
- Ability to work independently performing a variety of professional duties.
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data relating to personnel program functions.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

- Spouse Program: $15 biweekly

- Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must have experience processing Workers’ Compensation and FMLA.

- Must have experience with database/systems.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience processing leave and attendance actions in People First.
