- Develops, organizes and oversees the implementation of public health programs and services throughout the county or all community mental health clinics throughout the State.
- Supervises the operations of County Public Health Clinics and provides administrative direction to clinic medical staff or supervises the operations of all community mental health clinics throughout the State.
- Participates in the assessment and policy development for new and/or expanded program needs in the county.
- Maintains liaison with other professional community groups and organizations in the community health field.
- Manages budgetary and personnel resources of the County health unit.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Health Services Clinic Administrator
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Three years experience in health or human services program administration such as overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evaluation of health or human services programs and services; planning and establishing short and long range program goals and objectives. Providing advice to other agency organizational units through consultation.
- Six months experience in budget administration which includes managing, developing, analyzing and implementing budgets; developing strategic plans and establishing internal control.
- Six months experience in operations management which includes planning, directing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating operations typically through subordinate supervisors.
- Three years experience in developing policies and procedures.
