This role directs and coordinates nursing staff, manages staffing levels and schedules, and supports professional development through training, coaching, and performance feedback. The Director of Nursing develops, implements, and evaluates clinical policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and evidence-based practice. Daily responsibilities include monitoring clinical outcomes, conducting rounds, reviewing care plans, and collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to address resident needs. The role also oversees infection control practices, manages quality improvement initiatives, participates in surveys and audits, and ensures compliance with state and federal guidelines for long-term care settings.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Nursing Management and leadership, including supervision of nursing teams, staffing coordination, and operational oversight.
- Strong clinical background in Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to guide complex care decisions and support best practices in patient and resident care.
- Knowledge and practical experience in Infection Control, including development, implementation, and monitoring of infection prevention protocols.
- Experience in Long-term Care settings, with understanding of regulatory requirements, resident rights, and person-centered care models.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Delaware (or eligibility to obtain), with a BSN preferred; advanced nursing or healthcare administration education is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, manage change, and build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary teams, and regulatory agencies.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs), data-driven decision-making, and quality improvement initiatives in a healthcare environment.
