Final Filing Date: 6/17/2026 Application Methods: Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) By Mail Drop-off Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor), the Accounting Officer (Specialist) will act as the Accounting Department lead person for workload distribution of Support functions. In this capacity, the Accounting Officer (Specialist) will assign, review, and audit the duties of Support staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. The Accountant I (Specialist) shall maintain a strong knowledge of practices, policies, and procedures of the Accounting Office. Additional duties and functions may be assigned as needed. The Accounting Officer (Specialist) shall have knowledge of all Trust/Support functions of the Accounting Office. Working Conditions California Medical Facility (CMF), located in a unique spot in Vacaville, CA. Unique as in being surrounded by many areas for family fun, exercise, touristy adventures and more. Approximately 35 miles east of downtown Sacramento, approximately 53 miles west of Pier 39 in San Francisco, and if you want to meet in the middle you can swing by Napa which is approximately 30 miles west.
