WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Alaska State Troopers are recruiting for a Program Manager to provide civilian leadership and management of department-wide programs, projects, and administrative operations. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and executing complex initiatives that support statewide public safety functions.

The Program Manager serves as a central coordination point for multi-division efforts, ensuring programs and projects are aligned with organizational priorities and completed efficiently. This position exercises independent judgment in managing workloads, resolving issues, and driving work to completion. The role also includes supervision of program staff, oversight of operational systems, and support for policy development, reporting, and compliance requirements.

This position is designed to provide long-term continuity and dedicated management of critical administrative and program functions previously performed by commissioned staff.

THE WORKING CONDITIONS YOU CAN EXPECT:

This position is located at the Department of Public Safety Headquarters in Anchorage at 5700 E. Tudor Rd, nestled at the foot of the beautiful Chugach Mountains. The daily work environment consists of a small team of task-driven individuals. The incumbent will work closely with team members to support the mission.

BACKGROUND CHECK

This position requires the incumbent to submit to a fingerprint based criminal history background check.  Due to the sensitive nature of this position, and required access to APSIN, an applicant with criminal convictions will not move forward in the selection process.

The successful candidate will be required to read, understand, and agree to via signature, an agreement of confidentiality concerning the work commonly encountered within the Department of Public Safety to qualify for this position.
