State Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to accurate, timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
· Process and support accounts payable activities.
· Perform bank account reconciliations.
· Complete daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations.
· Reconcile mortgage activity and related transactions.
· Prepare wires for designated intercompany activities.
· Prepare and post journal entries.
· Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of bank financial statements.
· Prepare various reports and complete additional accounting duties as needed.
· Provide backup support to the Controller for assigned functions.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 3-5 years of related experience.
· Ability to plan, prioritize, problem solve, and complete assignments within deadlines.
· Strong multitasking skills with a high degree of accuracy.
· Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and other computer applications.
