What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afternoon Children's Enrichment Program Teacher position at Starz of Alexandria?

Our coaches teach PE, sports, dance, gymnastics, yoga, or cheerleading to a variety of age groups from toddlers to elementary students. We are currently expanding our team and looking for instructors who are energetic, encouraging and professional.
Position: Children's Enrichment Teacher
Location: Alexandria, VA and surrounding areas
Type: Part Time (2-8 hours per week)
Schedule: Weekday afternoons *no evenings, weekends, or holiday breaks required, some morning shifts also available
Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging fitness-based enrichment classes for children (toddler - elementary aged) *curriculum is provided
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and promotes a love for physical activity
- Foster a sense of teamwork, discipline and respect among the participants
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during classes
- Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing weekly class updates
Requirements:
- High standard of accountability, reliability, honesty and professionalism
- Comfortable teaching a variety of activities and willingness to learn (No experience required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to implement age-appropriate fitness programs and be flexible when necessary
- Passionate about working with children and promoting a healthy lifestyle
Pay:
- Starting at $25/class
- $15/hour for training and administrative hours
