POSITION: SPANISH TEACHER, Spanish After School Program at LCPS
LOCATION: Henrietta Lacks and Hovatter Elementary Schools, 41125 Collaboration Drive, Aldie, VA
DURATION: September 28 to November 20, 2026, with possible winter season extension
DAYS AND TIME: Mondays and Tuesdays, Sessions run from 2:00 to 4:00 PM
PAY: $100 per session (includes 30 minutes for prep/set up, 1 hour of instruction, and 30 minutes for clean-up)

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Children's Center for Language & Culture, Inc. (ChiCeLaCu!) seeks an enthusiastic, energetic, independent, and experienced Spanish Teacher for its At Your School Program, taking place at Henrietta Lacks and Hovatter Elementary School in Loudoun County. Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Fluent Spanish speaker
- Possess or be in the process of acquiring an associate, bachelor's, or master’s degree in education, humanities, or the arts
- Advanced English (written and spoken) is required
- At least 2 years of experience teaching elementary school age children
- Good classroom management skills
- Experience developing and implementing interactive and dynamic lesson plans
- A team player who is creative, energetic, flexible, patient, fun, and enjoys working with children
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Minimum commitment for employment is the duration of the full program as detailed above
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S.
- Two professional references
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with educational objectives.
- Design and implement fun and dynamic Spanish language activities that align with the presented curriculum and educational goals.
- Maintain a friendly demeanor with families and create a welcoming environment for students.
- Prepare weekly parent updates
- Light housekeeping to ensure the assigned classroom is clean, organized, sanitized, and well maintained at all times.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships with fellow educators and administrative staff to promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
