NOW CASTING: “Female Swing” for Jamie Allan’s Off-Broadway show Amaze for casual cover.
We’re seeking female performers to join the cast of Jamie Allan’s Amaze — a very theatrical, story-driven, high-energy magic show in the heart of New York City.
This is not your average backstage role! Our Female Swing’s are part of the magical experience — combining on-stage appearances with vital behind-the-scenes work to make the impossible happen.
Due to the constraints of our existing props/set pieces and wardrobe, candidates must be 5’-4” to 5’-6” in height and fit in size 4 wardrobe.
What you’ll do:

Appear on stage as part of the performance (with style and stage presence)

Move and set props between scenes – must be able to lift props & pull stage curtains

Operate curtains and scenic elements

Assist with quick changes and magical effects

Keep the show running smoothly, seamlessly, and spectacularly
We’re looking for people who:

Have strong stage presence and a flair for performance

Are quick, adaptable, and calm under pressure

Can work as part of a fast-moving backstage team

Are punctual, reliable, and professional
-
(Bonus) Have dance, acting, or magic experience — but not required

This is a casual cover position, availability on weekends and holidays required

Paid position w/ compensation based on experience
