Start Fresh Cleaning Services is a growing, locally owned cleaning company serving Pittsburgh and surrounding communities. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial cleaning using professional, family- and pet-friendly organic cleaning solutions.

We are currently looking for reliable, hardworking cleaners to join our growing team of independent contractors.

We have opportunities available primarily in the South Hills, Squirrel Hill, and North Hills areas.

Areas & Work Availability

South Hills Squirrel Hill

• Approximately 20–30 hours of cleaning work per week
• Ideal for someone who lives in or near the South Hills or Squirrel Hill
• Opportunities for recurring residential clients as well as one-time/deep cleanings

North Hills

• Approximately 20-30 hours of cleaning work per week
• Ideal for someone who lives in or near the North Hills
• Opportunities for recurring residential clients as well as one-time/deep cleanings

Compensation

• We pay by the job, rather than an hourly wage
• We structure our jobs so that experienced cleaners can earn approximately $20–$30 per hour
• You do not need to provide your own cleaning supplies or equipment — Start Fresh provides the supplies needed for the jobs
• Opportunities for additional work may be available as the business continues to grow
• Commercial evening opportunities available as well

What You'll Be Doing

Our cleaners are responsible for providing professional, detailed cleaning services in residential and commercial properties.

Typical responsibilities include:

• General residential cleaning
• Deep cleaning
• Bathrooms and kitchens
• Dusting and wiping surfaces
• Vacuuming and mopping
• Cleaning floors, appliances, fixtures, and other areas of the home
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
• Treating clients' homes and belongings with care and respect
• Communicating professionally with clients and the Start Fresh team

• Able to pass a background check
• Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider motivated applicants with strong work ethic and attention to detail

Transportation

Because our cleaners travel to different client locations, reliable personal transportation is required.

Applicants should be comfortable traveling throughout their assigned service area.

Classification: Independent Contractor
Service Areas: South Hills, Squirrel Hill, and North Hills
Workload: Approximately 20–30 hours/week South Hills & Squirrel Hill; approximately 20 hours/week North Hills
Pay: Approximately $20–$30 per hour equivalent, paid per job
Supplies: Provided by Start Fresh Cleaning Services
Transportation: Required
Background Check: Required
Experience: Preferred, but not required for the right candidate
