The Lead Nail Technician is responsible for providing exceptional nail services while leading the nail team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
This role combines technical expertise with leadership, training, and mentoring to support the growth of our salon’s nail department.
Key Responsibilities
Service Excellence
• Deliver professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel,dip, nail art, and specialty treatments
• Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, hygiene, and safety
• Recommend retail products to enhance client results and boost sales
Leadership & Team Development
• Serve as the primary mentor and trainer for new nail technicians and assistants
• Provide ongoing coaching on service techniques, customer care, and retail upselling
• Assist management with onboarding and skill assessments for new hires
• Monitor team performance and communicate service and productivity goals
Operational Support
• Help oversee scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for nail services
• Maintain nail product inventory and submit orders as needed
• Ensure all workstations, tools, and equipment are sanitized and properly maintained
• Coordinate with the salon manager to implement promotions and seasonal service menus
Requirements
• Valid Tennessee Nail Technician License
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional salon experience
• Strong knowledge of current nail care techniques, trends, and safety practices
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Must be reliable, organized, and passionate about professional growth
