What You Bring To SBHG (qualifications)
The Transportation Clerk is responsible for transporting clients to off-site appointments and outings, as well as other transportation assignments. When no transporting assignments are provided, acts as Mental Health Worker. Performs tasks correctly and according to policies and procedures. Coordinates and schedules client transportation, as directed. Documents clients appointments, behavior and any pertinent interactions in the medical record system. Monitors clients during transportation. Conducts vehicle safety check before each use. Protects clients from behavior which could damage their self esteem and/or the facilities relationship with other agencies. Participates as a team member and provides input via reporting observation, concerns and asking appropriate questions. Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of equipment and supplies.

What You Bring To SBHG (qualifications)
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- One (1) year direct service experience with emotionally disturbed adolescent population or Two (2) years direct service experience with emotionally disturbed adult population
- Valid California Drivers License and clear DMV printout
- Possess a current and active California Commercial Vehicle License with a Passenger "P" endorsement; required
- Qualified candidates must meet age requirement
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- A willingness to fluctuate scheduled work hours to accommodate transportation needs.
- A willingness to work in a dual role as direct care staff in the milieu when not transporting clients
- Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with emotionally disturbed clients, other staff and the public.

- A comprehensive mental health in patient residential facility for adolescents
- Serving up to 60 adolescents (ranging from ages 12-17) statewide
- Intensive residential services dedicated to serving clients with serious mental health problems with the highest dignity and quality of services since 1988
- Programs: Psychiatric Health Facility, Community Treatment Facility and Non-Public High School β 24/7 locked facility
- Multidisciplinary Mental Health Services, Therapeutic Behavioral Health Services, and Intensive Day Treatment Program
