Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM PT
Location: On-site, Long Beach (Port of LA/LB area)
About the role
We’re adding a Part-Time Drayage Dispatcher to support afternoon Port Operations—bridging night-to-day handoffs, executing port appointments, and managing and supporting drivers port appointments, followup with terminals for any assistance needed, etc.
What you’ll do
- Dispatch & support Second Shift driver assignments for POLA/POLB moves.
- Book/modify appointments (eModal & terminal portals); monitor gate congestion and cutoffs.
- Track & trace; deliver timely ETA/exception communications to customers and internal teams.
- Manage holds, TMF/PierPass, LFD, and coordinate chassis/equipment needs.
- Keep TMS current (trip status, POD/BOL uploads, accessorials) and ensure clean passdowns to the night shift.
What you bring
- 3 years of port drayage dispatch experience (required).
- Familiarity with terminal portals and appointment workflows.
- Strong customer service and clear communication.
- Comfortable with TMS, GPS/telematics; spreadsheets a plus.
- UIIA familiarity a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
Pay & details
- $25/hour.
