Education
What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
- Associate's degree, preferred.
- One (1) year service experience working as a nurse in a behavioral health field
- One (1) year medication administration experience required.
- Valid California LVN or LPT license.
- Current CPR certification.
The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including medications and basic medical intervention and education, following standard nursing practices.
Division/Program Overview
- 24/7 voluntary residential setting specifically for Transitional Age Youth (TAY) at risk and need a higher level of care, but lower than a psychiatric hospital.
- Facility equipped to serve up to 15 Youth.
- Provides mental health services that include individual therapy, group rehabilitation, medication management, and case management.
- Incorporates the tenets of recovery, peer support, and identifying community connections.
- Connects individuals to educational and vocational services and initiating the process of locating housing.
