Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and flexible PRN School Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide coverage during staff absences, including vacations and maternity leave. This role is critical to maintaining a safe and healthy school environment by addressing student health needs, managing medications, and responding to medical situations during the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic medical care and first aid to students and staff
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and school policies
- Manage chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies)
- Respond to medical emergencies and determine appropriate next steps
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies
- Support student wellness and health education as needed
Schedule & Coverage Expectations:
- PRN/as-needed basis
- Coverage for planned absences (vacation, maternity leave) and occasional call-outs
- School-day hours (no nights or weekends)
Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
