Welder

Job Duties for a Welder

• Able to pass a weld test
• Able to read and understand shop orders, production schedules and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Identify and separate nonconforming parts (defective).
• Report issues to maintenance as needed and make supervisor aware.
• Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Housekeeping (5S) throughout and end of shift.
• Must be punctual.
• Able to identify fixtures needed, identify good/bad welds
• Do touch ups as needed form outcome coming out its cell/paint line.
• ID tag outcome material, raw materials at work cell.
• Other duties as required.

Language Skills

• Basic understanding of English language.
• Bilingual is a plus

Physical Requirements of Welder

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. repetitively.
• Must be able to stand the entire shift.
• Position requires bending, stooping, stretching and reaching.

Education and/or Experience Level of Welder

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Should pass company welding test, welder certification preferred
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-starter and well organized.
• Should be able to work well in a multicultural environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Basic knowledge of computer use.
• Flexible to perform multiple job functions and duties.
