A Monitor Technician who excels in this role:
Under the supervision of an RN, this person performs telemetry monitoring.
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors for three nursing floors.
Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient. physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Print out rhythm strips and deliver them to the appropriate nursing floor.
Maintain rhythm logs.
Test equipment for proper working order.
Report any equipment problems to the supervisor.
Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant company and division policies and procedures.

High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.Handle with Care class must be completed with 6 months of hire/transfer.
