What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Starland Sportsplex & Fun park?
We are looking for an energetic event coordinator to join our amazing team at Starland for groups, private events, corporate, birthday parties, and our ticketed signature events.
The event coordinator is responsible for executing parties and bookings based on the event orders, and assisting in communications with guests. This role is ideal for someone with an events, marketing, sales, or hospitality background that is looking to expand into an exciting and rewarding career!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required with College coursework in related fields preferred.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to use communication platforms such as google cloud based services
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
- Requires flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays. Ideally 30-35 hours/week.
- Must be interested in engaging outside of the workplace in the community for charity, lead sourcing, and networking opportunities
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming event inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Oversee onsite event set up, guest check in, and team coordination.
- Interact with party hosts, guests and other Starland customers.
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Act as the lead event contact when the Director is not available.
- Assist the Director and Events Manager with daily operations, administrative tasks, and execution of department responsibilities
- Support seasonal planning, internal initiatives and event programming
- Participate in department meetings and work interdepartmentally with other teams on property
- Represent Starland at external events, expos, and community fe
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
